After months of just accepting the label of being anti illegal immigration I have been doing some thinking and I am not anti anything. I am pro American; I am pro American law enforcement, American jobs, American sovereignty, American people and American justice. I am not anti immigrant, never have been, never will be and it is not because I think we are a country of immigrants simply because most people my age or younger did not immigrate from anywhere. Most of us are several generations American and that theory does not hold water. We are a proud country, with proud people, we deserve to have our laws followed and therefore we demand it, if you are against that then I would have to say you are anti law and order. This is the only country I know of where one major party would have their countrymen feel ashamed of enforcing our laws, where they would gladly enforce gun control laws against their own people but none against those who come here without permission.

This is our country, and I for one refuse to be labeled by those who wish to give it away as anti anything, I refuse to be silenced, I refuse to bow my head, I will stand, I will pray, I will say the pledge of Allegiance, I will salute my flag, I will insist that the laws of this country are upheld and I will do this for one simple reason I am an American. It is time for the God fearing, law abiding citizens to take back this country and I don�t mean tomorrow either. We are the workers who keep this country moving, we are the ones who pay the taxes, we are the ones who vote and we are the ones who by birthright should have a say in how this country is run. If we do not stand up now and fight for our country we are affectively giving away our birthright, our freedoms and our liberty to people who do not deserve it, we are allowing them to destroy everything our parents and grand parents fought for, worked for and dreamed for us and I for one will not stand by and allow them to tear down every single shred of what my ancestors built.

If you read the news or watch it for that matter you would honestly think that America was built by nothing but immigrants and while they may have had a hand in our progress I can assure you there were some red blooded Americans right by their side working just as hard and just as fast and I will be damned if they will leave them out of history. It would appear that at least one party is in favor of having everything foreign, from our oil to our workers, they have decided that we Americans are just not good enough and I have decided that if they have no respect for me, my family, my country I don�t want them running anything to do with my country. When we want to drill at home they do everything in their power to make sure we cannot, to make sure that the big oil countries will always have a say in our country. When we want the flow of illegal immigrants to stop they stand and tell us we would be nothing without them and let me tell you with that kind of mentality they should be run out of office with a stick.

Heads up Americans, it is time to take your flags back out and fly them proudly, it is time to put them back on the cars, it is time to wear your I love America t-shirts, it is time to wear your flag pins, and if someone says you are too patriotic tell them thank you, because some of us Americans are sick and tired of being told we shouldn�t be so American. Now you can say what ever you want about me, most people do already, you can think what you want, you can quote me but you better get it right I am pro American, I am not anti anything.

@ MRandolph, the figures you've shown scared me . It's certainly way more then I had thought of those who sneak across the border every year.

@mgarcia, rest assured you're not the only non-white person who feels the same way . I'm an Asian-American and one of my close friends like you is a Mexican-American girl who also doesn't speak Spanish. She, too, feels embarrassed by the actions of illegal immigrants in the U.S. despite the fact that she's a fourth generation Mexican-American and is not an illegal mexican.

And yes, sadly, some parents--particularly parents coming from an illegal immigration background, don't care enough to instill English into their children.

dangle, you can bet that is part of the overall movement. it is not just about making it easier for the invasion. It is about taking away the sovereignty of the US. There can't be a one world government if there is a free country getting in the way. So it really is about more than just keeping out the wetbacks. It is about defending our country from a takeover from the banks. I know. There are a lot of idiots out there who call this a conspiracy theory. Conspiracy yes, theory no. That was proven a long time ago.

Welcome Amerie. I am glad you have joined us here. So many people try to claim this is a white American problem and that others who have parents here from other countries don't feel the way we do. My grandparents moved here from Mexico and I don't even speak spanish except for a few phrases that have to do with getting another beer and finding the restroom. You would be amazed how many times Latinos will start talking to me in Spanish as though since I am a Latino, I should speak Spanish. I just tell them that this is America and we speak English here. Of course that pisses off some of these esses when they were born and raised here and they speak spanish. It is pure laziness on the part of their parents. They obviously don't care about the US of what it means to be an American. Which is really bazzar considering how many latinos join the military and serve proudly. At least some of them get it.

DALLAS � Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades � and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.

The Mexican Consulate's office in Dallas is seeing increasing numbers of Mexican nationals requesting paperwork to go home for good, especially parents who want to know what documentation they'll need to enroll their children in Mexican schools.

"Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously," said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. "In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years."

The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.

Some say illegal immigrants are leaving because a soft economy has led to fewer jobs, causing many laborers to seek work elsewhere.

Others argue that a tough stance on immigration through law enforcement has spread fear throughout the illegal population.

"There's no question there's a variety of suggestions that people are in fact returning," said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies. "Remittances, which is the money immigrants send home to Mexico, have gone down dramatically over the past year. Again, probably part the economy, but also part enforcement, leading to fewer people being here."

Advocates for immigrants are disturbed by the trend. Albert Ruiz, an organizer for the League of United Latin American Citizens, agrees that more undocumented immigrants are going home � but says families are being torn apart in the process.

If a father is deported, Ruiz says, his family members in America are forced either to fend for themselves or follow him to a country where they've never even lived.

"So the mother is saying we should return home with the breadwinner of the family to Mexico, and the children are saying, I don't want to leave, I'm a U.S. citizen, I don't know that country," said Ruiz.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon plans to help returning nationals by providing food, medical care and temporary shelter if needed. But reports are already out in Mexico that the large number of illegal immigrants returning home could drive down wages and put pressure on social services � the same concerns many Americans have with illegals living and working in the U.S.

I came home from work the other day and my 5 year old greeted me with a slew of Spanish words and there translations that he learned from Dora and Diego. Just about everything on t.v. for kids these days has Spanish language translations imbedded in them. It's not that I don't want my kids to learn another language, I absolutley do, but I don't want them to be brainwashed in the process by subliminal or delibrate undertones. I believe Obama said to a latino group a few weeks back that every American needs to learn another language other than English(AGREED), and that language should be Spanish. Maybe I or my children don't want to learn Spanish, maybe we want to learn German or Italian, or really try to compete in the global market and learn Chinese. Once again I'll stress the fact that mexico is a third world country, forcing my kids to learn Spanish will only help them when they have to deal with the landscapers

Welcome aboard, Amerie. I am very glad that you found us. I am also very worried about your state in particular, because you have a district court there that has repeatedly rule against the wishes of the people. To answer the two questions that you asked, no the government is not doing any more than just enough to say, "See, we deported some people last year. Let's say, they deported 50,000 criminal immigrant last year. 3,000 per day slip across the border. That's 1,092,000 per year coming across the border. Even if we go by the "conservative" figures of 500,000 per year, that still only amounts to 10% being deported. You can rest assured it is intentional. The reasons can be found on sites like aFreeCountry.com.

As to your second question. There are a great many people who feel the way that you do. We have a very small number of members here, but do hope to grow dramatically over the course of the next couple of years. We will do so through advertising, our billboard campaign, which admittedly is off to a very SLOW start, due to a lack of funds, and through the sale of shirts, hats and signs that can be used in protest and free assemblies of like minded people.

Please feel free to participate and expose where criminal immigrants live and work. Photos can be upload to the photo album and linked here or embedded directly into posts that you make.

This is very irritating. Whenever you travel to a different country such as Japan, France, Italy, etc...apparently, they would all have one national language which you HAVE to learn if you want to live in their societies. The same should apply to the U.S. If anyone wants to live here, learning English shouldn't be optional, it should be mandatory. Having illegal immigrants coming in refusing to learn English is simply ridiculous. Every other immigrant who came here, whether European, Asian, or African, had managed to learn the English language, therefore, Latinos shouldn't be excluded. Having illegal immigrants coming into one's own country and nearly changing the language is like having someone storm into your own home and getting to do whatever the hell they want. That's seriously unacceptable.

As for schools favoring Latino kids and allowing them to learn mostly in Spanish--well, they really don't have any good excuse to do that. I'm an Asian-American girl born and raised in the U.S., whose parents were anti-Communist immigrants who fled their country during the Vietnam War. When they came to the U.S. as naturalized citizens, they were in their late teens. Yet, both of them managed to learn to speak, write, and read in English very well despite the fact that they weren't exactly little kids anymore. If my parents, who came to the U.S. as teens, could learn English then why shouldn't Latino kids who are as young as five years of age be forced to learn English in school as well? As far as my knowledge goes on language and the human brain, kids have a much easier time learning a different language then adults yet, these schools continuously allow them to simply learn in Spanish and for what reason?

Who are life long Democrats. The democrat party is where the communist party has embedded. The reason why wealthy elitists would push for communisim is is give them control over the masses and leaves them as the ruling class. The hybrid thing is just plain stupid anyway. Don't they have to be plugged in to recharge the battery? The fuel surcharge on our last electric bill was larger than the portion of the bill that was just the the electricity consumed. It was literally about 60% of the bill. So tell me again how using electricity will cut my fuel bill?

I could have sworn that I read this woman was finally deported. I read a post or an article that ICE wanted to make sure that she utilized "all of her rights" before she was sent across the border. Her kid was being left with relatives. If she is still here, we should all write our Congressman and Senators to demand that this criminal be removed from the church and deported as she should be. She can then apply like every other law abiding immigrant.

I'm going to re-open this topic since I just saw that exact same woman on the news not more than a week ago still hiding in that church. They said that she won't go outside refusing the demands of immigration. THEY KNOW SHE'S IN THERE AND THEY WON'T TAKE HER OUT! Not only that, the church gave her a job so she has money. MONEY FOR WHAT???? SHE LIVES IN A CHURCH AND WON'T GO OUTSIDE!!! You know she's sending it all back to whatever country she came from. I wish I could remember the name of that church, I didn't catch the begining of the story but sure had some comments about it when it was over. I didn't realize this was known about back when Vexx posted it

I have a question...Since the state of California is just about lost to the invasion of the third world country known as Mexico, why hasn't anyone blamed Gov Schwarzenegger for allowing this to happen? Don't get me wrong, I love his movies and admire his drive and determination, but I want to know what he's doing about the steady flow of the invading force occupying this country. He became a citizen 24 years ago, don't you think that he would do something about the millions flooding in to "his" state illegally, leaching off "his" government programs, clogging up "his" prisons, raping the honest legal taxpayers and murdering our citizens OF WHICH he was sworn in to serve?!? I think Mrs. Shaw and her family should take up this matter with Mr. Schwarzenegger and by-pass the corupt mexican run cities like Los Angeles.

Well now the people who could not find the time to vote on an energy bill, could not be bothered during their precious vacations to come to work and vote to drill here are going to be debating you guessed it a guest worker bill. That is right they cannot be bothered to get off their lazy good for nothing butts to help the suffering American citizens, but they plan to try and pass a bill to help the non citizens. This one would allow them to come and go as they please but not become citizens, a quaint little card system, not unlike a get out of jail free card. Call it what you want if it smells like it, if it looks like it, then it is Amnesty all over again.

You see the fact that you have trouble paying your bills and buying gas does not bother them, the fact that you can no longer save for anything does not bother them, the fact that everything has gone up because of fuel prices does not bother them. What keeps them awake at night is that poor hard working illegal immigrant that might have to be sent home only to come back and do it all over again. What keeps them up at night is that if they could just pass amnesty before the election they could have 12 � 20 million appreciative voters waiting to vote for Obama. You have to understand these new voters will not throw a fit just because the gas prices go up, why they are used to suffering and that is just what they need because that is all they are capable of producing.

Senate reconvenes September 4th and I can assure you it they will not be in there brain storming of a way to get gas prices down; nope they will be in there debating if this newest amnesty plan is good enough for the illegal immigrants. Lets get something straight here shall we the democrats in the House and Senate do not care about you, they don�t care about me, we have called and emailed, we have written, we have begged, pleaded, we have screamed and hollered, we have threatened their jobs and they have looked at us and laughed. They have told us this is all our fault, we use too much fuel, we are to lazy to walk or ride a bike, they have told us to inflate your tires, which sounds an awful lot like eat cake to me. But have they voted on lifting the drilling ban, no. Have they found any real way to lower gas prices, no? Have they tried to raise the fuel tax to cover their already bloated spending, yes!

Use solar power ah but if we only could I checked to run the electricity for just my home it would cost me two hundred thousand dollars, wind is an option but I am scared to death to find out how much that would cost. Buy a hybrid, I love that one, don�t you I mean really if we are complaining that we can�t pay our bills because the gas prices are sucking us dry why in the hell do these people think we can afford to buy a new hybrid? Do these people live in the real world? You know the one we live in? The one were Christmas is coming up and we are wondering if we can afford to have Santa visit this year? The one where we have to measure how important every single trip is so that we do not have to buy gas more than once a week. They walk around with their noses in the air, talking to us like this is not a real problem, at least you don�t have to worry about being deported, I just want to know one thing and one thing only, what planet are they on?
