Anchor Babies and the 14th Amendment

Many people believe that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States", as the 14th Amendment states, gives criminal immigrants the right of citizenship for their babies. This has been a very misconstrued adaption of the law. The US Constitution is the Supreme law of the united States of America. The use of the 14th Amendment in this manner should be considered traitorous by the politicians who have permitted its use, because it is allowing an invasion of Mexicans to very quietly take over our country. I will get into why this is not how the law is written in a moment.

First let's discuss how this invasion will succeed. Approximately 300,000 "anchors babies", as they are called, are born in the united States every year. After reaching the majority age, these babies will be permitted to vote. We are adding millions of children of criminal immigrants to the voting public. Just how do you think these babies born to criminals who sneaked across our borders will vote? I can assure you they will not be voting to secure our borders.

When ones actually reads the 14th Amendment, which is written in the English language, and proceeds past the first phrase of the first section he will find the following phrase, "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof". Since when does the united States government have jurisdiction over Mexican nationals? If the US has no jurisdiction over Mexican nationals, why then would it have jurisdiction over their babies? If the government have no jurisdiction over Mexicans and their babies, these babies then do not get a free pass to citizenship. This is what should be included in your letters to your Congressman and Senators. We cannot permit ignorance to dominate our political environment. Even when the ignorance is is espoused by our elected officials.

The constitution should be read in its entirety. We cannot take small pieces of it that we want to suit our needs. It is for this reason that, contrary to popular belief, most Americans are not required to pay an income tax.

Immigration Bills

PHOENIX (Reuters) - The Obama administration faced mounting pressure on Sunday to overhaul immigration policy, as prominent Hispanic politicians and street protesters decried a new Arizona law as a violation of civil rights.

Immigration reform is a bitterly contested political issue in the United States but a top priority for Hispanics, who are the largest minority in the nation and an important power base for President Barack Obama and his Democratic Party.

Their anger flared on Friday when Arizona's Republican Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a bill requiring police to determine whether people are in the country legally and to question them if there is suspicion they're not.

It also forces immigrants to carry their alien registration documents at all times

U.S. Representative Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat and chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Immigration Task Force, was among those who planned to attend a protest rally at the state capitol buildings in Phoenix on Sunday.

"I am going there to let the people of Arizona know that they are not alone in fighting against bigotry and hatred," the Illinois Democrat said in a statement, adding that the new law was a "serious civil rights catastrophe that Republicans in Arizona are unleashing on immigrants."

There is No Need to overhaul the Immagration System.Enforce the Laws on the books right now, make New Laws that will be enforced. LIke if a person has had a Permanet Resident Alien Card for more than FIVE YEARS, Cancel it, because it clearly show they don't want to be a United States Citizen or to lazy or stupid to even try. Make English the Spoken Language in the United States, no more voter sample ballots printed in Spainish. Make it Manatory for the Public School System to check to see if the Student is an Anchor Baby, and check for the Students Parents Birth Certificate or Legal right to be in the United States. If it doesn't check out Call ICE. No Appeals after an Immagration Judge orders Deportation, an Immedate arrest, placed into Law Enforcement Custody, with NO BAIL pending Deportation. The Hispanic Politicain doesn't like the New Federal Laws, they are FREE to go Home to there own Country. By the way the next time they want to March with NO PERMIT, Shoot to Kill. United States Military has to get involved in enforcing Immagration Laws, also Sherriff, Deputys, Bailiffs, Constables. The issue of Illegal Immagration is getting to expensive to play patty cakes with.

I think if we enforce the laws as they exist we would see a dramatic improvement in the situation here. The only people who want to "reform" immigration laws are those who want to make it easier for the criminal immigrant to stay.
