Anchor Babies and the 14th Amendment

Many people believe that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States", as the 14th Amendment states, gives criminal immigrants the right of citizenship for their babies. This has been a very misconstrued adaption of the law. The US Constitution is the Supreme law of the united States of America. The use of the 14th Amendment in this manner should be considered traitorous by the politicians who have permitted its use, because it is allowing an invasion of Mexicans to very quietly take over our country. I will get into why this is not how the law is written in a moment.

First let's discuss how this invasion will succeed. Approximately 300,000 "anchors babies", as they are called, are born in the united States every year. After reaching the majority age, these babies will be permitted to vote. We are adding millions of children of criminal immigrants to the voting public. Just how do you think these babies born to criminals who sneaked across our borders will vote? I can assure you they will not be voting to secure our borders.

When ones actually reads the 14th Amendment, which is written in the English language, and proceeds past the first phrase of the first section he will find the following phrase, "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof". Since when does the united States government have jurisdiction over Mexican nationals? If the US has no jurisdiction over Mexican nationals, why then would it have jurisdiction over their babies? If the government have no jurisdiction over Mexicans and their babies, these babies then do not get a free pass to citizenship. This is what should be included in your letters to your Congressman and Senators. We cannot permit ignorance to dominate our political environment. Even when the ignorance is is espoused by our elected officials.

The constitution should be read in its entirety. We cannot take small pieces of it that we want to suit our needs. It is for this reason that, contrary to popular belief, most Americans are not required to pay an income tax.
